Many of the speakers said they felt Christian values and symbols were under attack and were systematically being removed from public, such as the removal of prayer from the schools.

''Why should we sit back and let a few individuals say they want to do away with the Ten Commandments on our walls?'' said Donald Cook of Bangor.

Some said they feared that if the trend continues, God would lift his hand of protection from the country.

Thumbs up

Not everybody in the state is in favor of trashing the Bill of Rights. It may take time, and waste a lot of my tax dollars, but I'm confident reason will prevail.

Well...better make that hopeful.

Don't forget this was a federal judge, not a state or county one.

Tennessee is probably still a lost cause.

Takes a Federal, unelected judge to do the right thing sometimes, eh?

Go judge!
I noticed it said more than half of the counties had voted to put up the 10Cs...I wonder if there's a list anywhere. I've been at school at the other end of the state and am about to go home and I'm just wondering if my county has decided to participate in this stupidity.
