Post Hen's Teeth?

I remember reading somewhere that it was proven that birds retain the genes for teeth, but I am unable to find a detailed reference. Does anyone have a link to this information?

Don't lose it... such links are as rare as <a href="http://www.devbio.com/chap06/link0601.shtml" target="_blank">Hen's Teeth</a>.

A web ref has already been giving, but lets not forget about Gould's <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0393311031/nationalcenter02" target="_blank">Hen's Teeth and Horses Toes</a>.

Cool

They also retain the genes to make rather reptilian, archaeopteryx-like legs. See
