Post Prove It

Give your reasons for there being a supreme being or for the absence of one.

Given that it's impossible to prove a negative, how about we just stick to proof OF gods? Gonna be a mighty short thread though...

What kind of supreme being? The Judeo-Christian God? I think we need a clearer definition of what we're talking about to make meaningful comments.

I don't see any supreme beings around despite having looked in a couple of places where they might be lurking. That's good enough proof for me.

Prove or Disprove whatever you believe in. That's all. Yes, the Judeo-Christian god if you want.

The reason not to believe is that there is no evidence that such a being exists. It is really up to theists to put up a positive case that he exists.

Why would you open a topic like this in here when there's an entire forum dedicated to this very topic?

See? Right up there.

I surmise, Mr. Drifter, that if you set yourself to reading all the topics in that forum, you would not only find every proof or evidential argument you've ever conceived, but also many you haven't.

Now, seeing as how said forum has a priori made this thread obsolete, you are more than welcome to post any questions you might have about this rather broad topic up there.

I make no claim about the existence or non-existence of any god. This is because I hold no belief regarding the existence or non-existence of any god. Therefore any burden of proof regarding the existence or non-existence of a god is not upon me.

Sincerely,

Goliath

There is no evidence.

If there was evidence, this board wouldn't exist (and James Randi would probably be bankrupt).

Not only is there no evidence, the whole God notion is preposterous.

It's a myth.
