Then why hasn't a brain surgeon ever found one. Or will one surgeon may discover some strange looking tumor one day, then cut is out and say "oops! that's the guy's soul"

I am not so much doubting the existence of the soul, as I am more of the view now that the soul is "reality oriented to an observer". Like you may feel the mouse in the palm of your hand the keyboard of you computer, and the world you see out your window. That's your soul in my opinion, the circumstances that only exist to you when you are conscious. It is just that I doubt if the soul is incarnate thing inside you controlling a meat puppet like an astronaut inside a space suit, because I am sure someone would of already found it by now.

- "How is the material body animated?"

- "It has a soul that animates it"

- "And how is the soul animated?"

- "It just is animated"

- "So what's the problem in saying the material body just is animated?"

*bonk* turtles all the way down, souls all the way inwards...

Definition of soul could be the resultant energies created by the thinking-position(how I think of what I think). When the resultant energies become strong enough they can control the brain through feedback (this brain should be mind at this instant) hence personality duplication OR for some copy-cats, personality replication.

A thinking-position can be induced (say at birth)from an external source (birthing music, pre-natal conditioning, don't slap the fucking baby) which aligns all the relavant parts in the brain to a patterned thinking position (more a pre-thinking position, but the newbie has to deal with the noise level in our local universe). The noise in the Universe which welcomes a newborn should align the newborn sensors to itz adaptive frequencies. Thus it is better to have birthing clinics next to good universities in session RATHER THAN in a shoot-em-up, babg-bang neighbourhood.

I do not believe the soul is thing that can exert force and move atoms around; it all really stops at physical reality. The soul in my view is only reality from the vantage point of an observer.
But in quantum cosmology theory there would be trillions of possible copies to our universe differing only by to position of say one electron, and they are all strictly determined by Laplacian principles. It is only that they are so near identical to each other that there even share near identical copies of our brains that parallel the same thought processes, so observers like Heisenberg may observe them as one universe. and it Heisenberg make a decision to twiddle a knob he is only making a gestalt switch to another near identical universe with a near identical copy of his brain.
