We talk a lot of activism so lets do some more. Organizing, networking, finding and reaching out to the atheists in your local area can be a great first step. SO many of them are walking around in the closet thinking they are the only atheists in their area.

The website meetup.com has made it technologially easy to have atheist meetups worldwide on the same day of every month. For atheists (there are other topic areas) this means the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7pm your local time. The next one is Tuesday. sign up or check it out at

Several towns/cities will be having their first meetups this month. For those cities that didn't have enough people signed up (at least 4 people must vote for a venue and RSVP otherwise its canceled) But you can make sure you make it to the next meeting.

Please spread the word, that will help make it a sucess. If you go to the meetings you can always bring up activism issues.

Please help by posting this in other atheist BB's and if you want to you can do like I have done and put up flyers in your town.

At the first meeting I might collect money to have it on the local college radio station as a radio ad.

I went to a atheist MEET UP in a small city where I currently am and it went quite well.

I gave out flyers to those of us that attended and we are going to put them up at the local university to get the word out to more people.


Also, my buddies in my normal area, Washington DC said that their meeting went EXTREMELY well. 9 people showed up to this inaugural event and 31 people have now signed up in that area.

610 people worldwide have signed up for these new events. I believe probably 5-10 cities had enough people RSVP to have their meet UP's.

I am excited to hear how the events went in the other areas such as Seattle, Atlanta,Boston, and NYC to name a few.
