Hello Lib..... I am amazed by your statement that in 50 years of your life, Christians are the worst of them all basicaly. I do not know how many cultures you have been exposed to, religions, traditions ( I do not mean a touristic trip but a long stay where one is immerged in both language and culture) but in my 46 years of life I could not ever say despite of my extensive exposure to many cultures that one specific group of people is the worst of them all.
Who knows.... maybe multi culturalism keeps us safe from stereotyping judgements and prejudicial attitudes. Vive La Difference!

When I addressed many of the above issues on apologetics.com, I was given an unbelivable runaround. You can see from my writings that I keep pulling back to my main thoughts and I am given the run-around time and again.

See the link below to the discussion about Mathew Shepard.
Sheez! I just read the discussion on Mathew Shepard... and you're right, "unbelievable runaround" is the perfect way to describe it. It's like they coat themselves in Jesus Brand Lubricating Oil before the debate. No matter how hard you try to grapple with them, they'll always writhe and squirm and slip out of your grasp.

Address everything but the issue at hand, and eventually your opponent will retreat out of frustration, I guess.

LG,

No offense, but you started two threads there and abandoned them. I didn't see any posts from you on the two threads you mentioned (prophecy and ethics) except for the first two posts.

Usually, we ridicule theists who do the same thing here.

What gives?

I have no idea what you are talking about. I did not say anything of the kind. I'm not even near 50 years old so it would be impossible for me to make such a statement. :banghead:
I think you are referring to someone elses post.

Victor,
Are you saying that when you go to www.apologetics.com you don't see my post on ethics?
On this discussion board I have mentioned several threads on the apologetics discussion board. I am not sure what you have an issue with.
With regard to the ethics issues - Apathy - I commented a NUMBER of times and got no where. Did you read it???
With Prophecy, I stated the question and incorrect answers were given.
Again, I have gone to ethics and commented several times on the Federal Marriage Ammendment.
And if you read the responses, it really IS like banging your head on a wall. It's very frustrating. Feel free to add to my posts but "no offense" I'm adding to the apologetics board with as much info. and logic and consistancy as I can. I'm one of very few (if only) no christians on the site.

Shadownought,
Yep. They are really off their rocker there. How could they not get it? I continued to repeat myself and as you say, "eventually your opponent will retreat in frustration".

LG,

The two threads I am referencing are here and here.

As I stated above, you posted the questions and never replied further. Yes, you did participate in the thread mentioned back in November, but I assumed you were referencing the more recent postings.

Don't mean to raise hackles here, it just seems bad form to make a post and never go back to defend it. That's all!

Let's not give them any more ammunition than they already have.

Good point, Victor. I will take that to heart and plug away on the Morality Without God and Prophecy issues.

Any additions you or others would like to add on the discussions about Ethics (Apathy or Federal Marriage Amendment) or Morality or Prophecy would be helpful.

But as you said, I should not have abandond the thread.
Back to apologetics I go!

Call me "Vicar" (not Victor) and we're square!

I have not yet taken the step of posting on a Christian site because I am unsure of my patience for argument against such an impossibly divided doctrine as Xianity.

The other day I listened to a religious (Christian) radio station and heard a radio preacher rant for a half hour against the "perverted and corrupt" bibles that have been published and why the readers will go to Hell. His point was that the King James Version was the one and only "true" translation and all other versions were akin to blasphemy. Such logic takes one's breath away...

Hi LiberatedGoddess
what are you hoping to accomplish besides going there to "shake things up"?

If you go to the site and read what I wrote about Matthew Shepard perhaps you will understand what I am trying to accomplish. (Hint: When Christians stand idly by while others use the name of Christ to beat people down it does a grave diservice.)
