Post Atheist Tax

Representative Joseph Putzenhoax (R-SD) is introducing a bill to tax anyone who is not a member of a 'house of worship.'

"It is widely known that the lack of morality in this country has huge costs, in terms of law enforcement and imprisonment. It's time to make those who foster this permissive culture of immorality pay the costs," Putzenhoax claimed in an official statement.

Write your Congressman and stop this lunacy now!

Read the bill:

I really like this Rep...

Quote:
"To defend the right of non-believers does not follow the Constitution or Bill of Rights, there is no mention of non-belief in these documents"
I think he has us here.

Quote:
"The 10 Commandments clearly show God at work, who could have made that up?"
I guess his logic really shines, I can understand that.

Quote:
"It is only fair that everybody give to charitable institutions, and it is common knowledge that non-belief leads to abandoning charitable contributions. These people MUST BE TAXED!"
You know, I have noticed I don't give as much as when I was in the church, things are looking bad for me.

Quote:
"Morality and God, need I say more?"
I guess not.

Quote:
"It is time for everybody to wake up and smell God, he didn't start all this for nothin!"
It smells better every time I read that.

Quote:
In answer to the question "How will we determine who believes" Putzenhoax answered:
"We will ask them."
That should work, I know I would tell if it meant I should be taxed extra.

Quote:
"I know that everybody will agree to this, because it is the moral thing to do."
Again, I can't fault his logic, most atheists are very immoral and like sex and don't go to church on a regular basis, so I think the new bill should go through.

I have sent this to my congressman, do you think it will help get the bill passed?

The OP was pretty funny, but Scotty's reply elicited an audible laugh from me.
