Talking

In which case, may God have mercy on your soul.

Are you asking God not to toss an unbeliever in Hell? Are you asking God to go against his will, his divine plan, his very nature, and allow a sinner into Paradise? Do you think you're better, more merciful, than God? And I thought you claimed exclusive understanding of the bible! Perhaps you're the one that should be looking out for lightning bolts.

My highlighting. Where in the Bible does it say that?

Otherwise perfect logic as I see it

DD - Perfect Spliff
My bad DD and a bad one at that. It was the serpent who said "thou shall be as gods." I think the argument stands none-the-less. God does say "Behold the man is become one of us, to know good and evil" Gen.3:22.

Who are we to trust , the wise serpent or the lying god. That they would become gods was not revealed to Adam or Eve by God. It was the serpent who told them the truth and God only confessed when he had no choice.

Good catch DD

Mark9950, God wrote the perfect holy text:
One wonders 111111 why there is so very much rubbish in your perfect book and so few gems. If you would point out just one or two baubles for us perhaps we could take your argument more seriously.

And please, we occultists have a hard enough time without having to account for the Bible too.

Default Magus55,here we go again

I do not care about my soul because if you read you will find that the soul that sins shall die, not go to heaven or burning hell.

ezekiel 18:4

Magus please read your bible and the passage I give you.

The soul will die if the person sins without redemption. The soul "dies" in Hell, its called the second death - the spiritual death.

If the soul dies, how can the punishment be eternal?

Default Yes the soul will die without

redemption.

The hebrew word for soul is nephesh which means living creature.

Not an immortal soul that goes to heaven and/or hell.

Go to

www.e-sword.net

dowload a free bible and see for yourself.(get the update too)

God made man a living soul(creature)

There is no excuse.

From strong's:

2) the soul

a) the seat of the feelings, desires, affections, aversions (our heart, soul etc.)

b) the (human) soul in so far as it is constituted that by the right use of the aids offered it by God it can attain its highest end and secure eternal blessedness, the soul regarded as a moral being designed for everlasting life

c) the soul as an essence which differs from the body and is not dissolved by death (distinguished from other parts of the body)
