Post BC/Av.J.C.

Is there in English an alternative to writing "Before Christ"? I noticed that in French there is a possibility of how to dodge the reference to Saviour by writing "avant notre ere" or by writing eg. -753 or +1492, indicating, however, that Jesus was zero.

Ales, nowadays lots of people use "Common Era" (CE) for the christian "AD" and "Before Common Era" (BCE) for the christian "BC". The reason for this is that there is a need for a common system of dates in a world where the majority of people are not christian. See Common Values for a Common Era.

The link is interesting, but I'd prefer the plus/minus. BCE could be read as before Christ's Evangelium

Ales you could also get your own alphabeth because that is also mythology specific, as is our clock. If that all fails you could dig a hole and crawl into it.

Amos, you tracherous infidel! How dare you to dispraise Him and say that our sacred doctrine is a myth?
