Post Quantum Mechanics Help Required

Does anyone out there know anything about Quantum Mechanics? Can you explain in layman's terms how it all works? I really need to know as I'm stuck for my work. Mine is shagged but no garage will touch it and I hate catching busses.

That's like asking for the history of the world in a page or less. what aspect of Quantum theory are you interested in? For cosmology string theory is generating a tremendous amount of scientific interest. For a good discussion of it in layman's terms I recommend <a href="http://www.superstringtheory.com" target="_blank">http://www.superstringtheory.com</a>

another good site on QM is <a href="http://www-theory.chem.washington.edu/~trstedl/quantum/quantum.html" target="_blank">http://www-theory.chem.washington.edu/~trstedl/quantum/quantum.html</a>

And here's the best site I've seen so far: <a href="http://library.thinkquest.org/C005775/frameset.html" target="_blank">http://library.thinkquest.org/C005775/frameset.html</a>

Boro, get yourself down to a DIY shop and buy a complete set of Heisenberg wrenches (metric of course).

Find the offending part and put the H-wrench on it? Can't find it? Well quit trying to find the *momentum*, you goose. *Position* is what you want.

Adjust to the appropriate Quantum level (found in your owner's manual) avoiding any levels forbidden by the Pauli Exclusion Principle.

That oughta cinch it. Unless the whole shebang decides to tunnel through the wall into your parlor.

I'm uncertain about the Heisenberg wrench.

My advice? Go surfing, collapse a wave and find some beautiful singularity to mess around with.

That way both position and momentum will be indeterminate, but definitely relative!

The only problem I've had with my quantum car is that, when I get home at night, if both garage doors are open, the damn car wants to go through both of them.

An odd thing...when my kinky gf and I end up in the back seat of the Quantum, we often end up in bound and excited states...

I remember one time, I was driving back home from the H-Bar, and apparently I was a bit tanked. My position and velocity were all over the place. However, I was finally pulled over as I was passing through the tunnel.

I have big problems with my Heisenberg wrench. When I know where they are, they're flying about in random directions at incredible speeds, and are thus impossible to get my hands on. When they're no longer flying about randomly at incredible speeds, I don't know where they are anymore. <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

Thanks for the replies everbody, especially CX. Its just such carefully considered, concise, infomative and totally wide of the mark replies like yours that make me think I'm not wasting my lunch-hour after all.
