Question Ability To Change Morality

Is it possible to change your individual morals and ethics? If so, where do you start?

Greetings:

People can rationalize anything...doesn't make doing so a good idea, but they can do it...

People can also learn and grow, changing their moral code and ethics along the way.

Of course... How you go about doing it depends on what do you want to change (about yourself) and why. Psychologists have been researching attitudes and persuasion (including self-persuasion) for more or less of a century.

Salesmen have been researching and studying persuasion for more or less the last 6,000 years.

MadMordigan, that sounds like something a YECer would say.

Weren't there any salesman before then? On what day of creation were salesmen created - the same one as biting flies and other pests?

I see a difficulty in determining if someone has truly changed their morality, or just their behavior. They might be caving in to outside pressures and modifying their behavior, while still believing in the same moral precepts.

cheers,
Michael
