Default The Da Vinci Code - Has anyone read this book?

http://www.msnbc.com/news/922483.asp?0sl=-13&cp1=1

I'm right in the middle of it and I must say I am completely captivated by it! Many of the things researched and written about by Mr. Brown is synonymous with what I've come to find and believe about religion, Christianity, the Roman Catholic Church and the life and times of Christ through my own research. I'll have to admit my jaw dropped like the sly Coyote in the Road Runner cartoon as I sat there reading Teabridge and Langdon's tale about the secret society, Da Vinci and the "clues" painted into such famous works as "The Last Supper" and how the church made all women (especially 'Mary Magdelane') out to be evil in order to discredit her place in history whereas Christ and His "Church" was concerned.

Anyhow...I'm curious to know if anyone else has read this book and what their thoughts are on it and the theories about religion, Christ, Da Vinci and this secret society and what we have all been taught (or rather spoon fed) to believe about religious history.

Thanks for your time!

Da Vinci Code

I've been contemplating reading it. I usually wait for thrillers to come out in paperback.
