Here is an article.

What's been done, apparently, is creating cloned embroyos from rabbit eggs and human cellular DNA. The only rabbit DNA in the cloned cells is mitochondrial.

Pretty much -- stuff like synteny testing has been done with human/other animal cell fusions for a long time. The difference, I think, is that this experiment was done with fertilized ova rather than stable cultured cell lines.
