Post And some say it's not genetic...

This is my first post here and may be a little off topic but I thought this <a href="http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/po/20020222/co/aquarium_discovers_two_gay_penguins_1.html" target="_blank">article</a> I found on yahoo today was interesting and fits in the evolution catagory.

I've been following the boards here for about 6 months, very interesting, educational and sometimes entertaining. I finally decided to register, so a big HELLO to all! I'm not a man of letters but I will be lurking here and reading as much as I can and try to post as often as I find words to contribute.

Welcome, SK.

Funny article, but a bit lacking from the standpoint of biological detail. I wonder if the two gay penguins ever hatched the eggs, or raised the offspring, of biological relatives?

At the risk of being a heretic...

How does this show that it is genetic?

Still a great article. I submitted it to Fark, but someone else already submitted it and they did not post it. France Surrenders.

Oh, it was just a funny article that I happened across that raised a few questions in my mind. I'm kind of hoping that the people at the aquarium research the penguins further or at least contact an organization that will.
