Post Music via Genetic Algorithm

Genetic algorithms are being used to play music now:

(To oversimplify a bit, a genetic algorithms works via mimicing evolution.)

haha, cool. I dabble in electronic music, and I had this idea about an "evolving tune" of sorts. It'd be kind of like dawkins "me thinks it is a weasel" algorithm

you'd plug in the melody that you wanted your tune to evolve to, and plug in what you wanted the melody to start off as - and then each note would change randomly one at a time until the final melody was reached.

unfortunately my programming skills leave a lot to be desired
