Default Question from end of Pascals Wager Post

Simple question: when have atheists EVER been the killers of Christians, instead of vice-versa? That very comment lost you all chance in my eyes of being seen as a logical debater of pro-abortion.

Well so what if the communists were atheist and they killed people? So what? How is that a flaw on another atheist?

Sure some communists also happened to be atheist in addition, but they didn't go around, crusading and killing in the name of atheism.

Communists killed in the name of political ideology, and it was not because someone was religious, it was because they viewed that religion as a threat to the state. In communism, arguably, the state becomes their 'God' in certain ways.

FWIW, I think Communists have killed Christians because they don't like the mind-control competition. But that's neither here nor there. As has already been pointed out, no one killed (the best of my knowledge) in the name of "no god."

Also, pointing out who used their religion to justify murder is arguing the special case, no matter who does the killing and in whose or what's name.

Furthermore, this thread isn't about EoG. I'm moving it to GRD, just in case a serious discussion develops. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up ~~Elsewhere~~.

On the opposite side - how is some people choosing to kill in the name of Christianity affecting Christianity as a whole? There are about 2 billion Christians in the world - do you have any idea how minute the amount of Christians that do kill in the name of religion is? Islam is a different story, since they are ordered to kill other people in the name of Allah - Christians aren't.

And oddly enough - Christians shouldn't be the ones killing in the name of religion. Jesus taught peace and love for your neighbor, never killing. Christians don't generally follow the old testament, Jews do - so why don't you hear of Jews killing in the name of religion? You don't - therefore its illogical to blame the Crusades or other events like them on Christianity. Even some proclaimed Christians don't follow Jesus and do evil things - but its hardly even a minority.

Since atheists are not documented a such, one would be hard pressed to come up with "that" particular data...

Christianity used to be predominantly comprised of such individuals.
