Default Problems with Muslim Youth Camp in Iowa

http://www.startribune.com/stories/484/3969141.html

Funniest quotes:

Quote:
The voice of Will Hofmeister of nearby Marion, Iowa, trembled as he spoke to Gallagher's estimated 2.75 million listeners. "I'm a father of five small children. I don't want that [camp] near my family, point-blank," he said. "I'm not anti-Muslim. I'm anti-terrorist."
Sorry. I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti "Crusader" =P

Quote:
Jonathan Marchand of Cedar Rapids said the camp violates the constitutional separation of church and state. If the Corps will allow the Muslim youth camp, then it should be building churches for Christians, he said.
Damn! Those sweet Jesus lovers must've funded all mosques all along!

I wished I had the rolling laughing head smiles, but...:boohoo:

Not to mention that...
Quote:
According to the Corps, it routinely leases federal land to nonprofit groups. Corps records show about 120 of them are religious organizations -- none of them Muslim -- that use federal land for youth camps.

They are leasing the land -- I do not see a problem with this. They also lease land to many Christain organizations.

Quote:
"I think everyone would recognize that if we were talking about a Baptist youth camp, we wouldn't even be having this discussion," said Ibrahim Hooper, a Burnsville man who is now director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, based in Washington, D.C. "We no longer have Communists to go after. Now it's the Muslim bogeyman," he said.
Yep.
