Post New Evolution board (at ChristianForums.com)

The first <a href="http://www.christianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11418" target="_blank">tasty tidbit</a>:
Quote:
This is for all the people that believe in evolution. You whine about how we creationists don't use the scientific method, so what we have is just theory, and incorrect theory at that. Well then, since our scientific method is flawed, where is yours? Huh?

.
Look, you believe what you want, we'll believe what we want. Call us ignorant if you wish, but one day, when you face God, it's gonna be soooooo funny.
.
.
.
We've done our part and witnessed to them, their blood will not be on our hands.

Nice.

I tried Christianforums for about a week, then left. Some moderator named 'lambslove' edited one of my posts, rather than replying to it.

When I started a thread complaining about that, they immediately deleted that thread too.

Typical fundie tactics, I suppose.

Thumbs down

Same old same old.... "Call me an idiot, but if you don't believe in my cult you will be eternally damned, and I will relish watching it happen."

Moral cripples, every one of 'em.

I've been successfully posting there for about a month now, but I can totally understand where your complaints stem from.

Gooch's Dad: how did lambslove alter your message?

Isnt Lambslove the one who claims to hold a degree in biology - as if that prooves anything. I knew of a couple of students at university who were creationists, but were studying biology - the point being that they had thier minds made up before being presented with any evidence. (Just as an anecdote, one particulary staunch creationist who was in many of my classes asked a student why was giving a presentation on how killer whale pods will stalk and hunt other whales "Does that happen on land or in the water?" Just to give you an idea about the level of intelligence in at least one case).

Who is Zadok on that board?

He/she seems to be an arrogant ass.

If you want to get people to understand science and evolution, try simply educating them and get them to want to learn more. Constant insults and inflammations will probably turn them off.

Tollhouse: What Lambslove did was edit a post where I had replied to someone, and replaced MY text with whatever she wanted to say. It is possible that she hit 'edit post' instead of 'reply with quote' but I find it hard to believe that a moderator would make such a mistake and not correct it. And, when I posted a thread griping about her actions, that thread was deleted (if she had just made a mistake, it seems the reasonable action would have been to apologize and admit the mistake).

Brian63: you are absolutely right. I do a lot of chatting in a Yahoo room titled "evolution is a fact" and I pride myself on trying to be patient and non-confrontational in that setting. I *have* managed to point out the flaws in creationist reasoning in that setting. Sometimes I can get the other person to consider that they don't really know more than all the thousands of evo biologists who do this for a living.

I might stop in to christianforums again, and try talking to those people.

What is the deal with <a href="http://www.christianforums.com/forums/armorofgod.php" target="_blank">Armor of God</a>? I especially liked:

A helmet to protect your mind from any ideas, I suppose
