Default Proof of creation--remains of Leviathan found!

Yes, I am serious--one site is claiming this.

Quote:
Possible Remains of Leviathan Found in Chile
(7/6/2003) A giant blob of flesh has been found off the southern coast of Chile. While Secular scientists remain puzzled and grab desperately at explanations -- whale blubber, giant octopus, spontaneously evolved lifeform -- Creation science holds the answer to this mysterious find: it is the remains of a Leviathan. This monstrous sea creature is known from the Bible (Isaiah 27:1, Job 41:1-34) and its remains would be an important find for Creation science.
Samples of the find have been sent to Secular institutions for analysis. Since these institutions have a vested interest in the nonexistence of Biblical evidence, they cannot be trusted to fairly judge the nature of this creature. Therefore, Creation science researchers from the Fairlight Institute have been dispatched to Chile to recover a sample before the remains have been destroyed by the tides and agents of Secularism. I will report on their findings as they come in.

That site is just a hoot. I'm still not 100% sure it's not a farce; people really can't be that stupid, can they?

spontaneously evolved lifeform
I remember discussions of giant squids...I can't recall seeing mention of this though. I must not have been reading an evil secular article, since all secular scientists would agree that giant lifeforms spontaneously evolve from nothing out of the sea. :banghead:

I was unaware that creationists had samples of leviathans to compare against...

I'm convinced that the site is a joke. Check out the staff page. I seem to recall seeing a couple references to Landover Baptist characters, too.

Not sure yet... but I found this.

Landover Baptist is run by an organization that calls itself - no doubt in gleeful mockery of Our Lord - Americhrist Ltd. Its leader is a shadowy figure named Chris Harper who apparently has a history of anti-Christian bigotry. Although Landover Baptist claims to own vast properties and have thousands of members, in reality it exists only on the Internet and it's membership is quite small.
edited: This has to be a parody... hilarious... but definitely fake.

Because everyone knows that cell phones are much more material than mansions and streets of gold.

Going to do a little reading here and see what I find...
Please tell me this is a parody site.... I mean...

http://objective.jesussave.us/halloween.html

Look down the page a bit and to the right, you'll see a picture of John the baptist saying "BOO! I'm John the baptist and these are my many exploits".

edited: ok... completely decided this is fake....

C'mon, guys, it's a parody site.

Look on this page to see the the Fellowship Baptist Creation Science Fair winners. For example:

Quote:
Elementary School level

1st Place: "My Uncle Is A Man Named Steve (Not A Monkey)"
Cassidy Turnbull (grade 5) presented her uncle, Steve. She also showed photographs of monkeys and invited fairgoers to note the differences between her uncle and the monkeys. She tried to feed her uncle bananas, but he declined to eat them. Cassidy has conclusively shown that her uncle is no monkey.

Middle School Level

1st Place: "Life Doesn't Come From Non-Life"
Patricia Lewis (grade 8) did an experiment to see if life can evolve from non-life. Patricia placed all the non-living ingredients of life - carbon (a charcoal briquet), purified water, and assorted minerals (a multi-vitamin) - into a sealed glass jar. The jar was left undisturbed, being exposed only to sunlight, for three weeks. (Patricia also prayed to God not to do anything miraculous during the course of the experiment, so as not to disqualify the findings.) No life evolved. This shows that life cannot come from non-life through natural processes.
Read the rest of 'em. They're hilarious.

Yep, its a parody. What funny is when you get creationists agreeing with info from the site. Its actually a rather good way to show someone how stupid their argument is. Get them agreeing with this site, then show them its a fake, kinda kills any argument beyond "no its not" or "im still right".

If you want more proof, just do google searches on some of their "members"

One thing to mention is that practically any site similiar to this one that has a "shutdown landover baptist" article, is the Landover Baptists.

Yes this site is a known parody. "Objective Christian Ministries" has been hosted by many legit conservative Christian sites (www.ijovejesus.com, www.truepath.com, and recently www.crossspot.com) which eventually got wise to the ruse. Apparently their new site, jesussave.us, is a domain name owned by the secular company web1000.com.

Some more information can be found at http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.p...hreadid=43407.

Thanks for the links Rufus. I was hoping, but living where I do, you never know...

I hadn't run across the science fair part...maybe I'll suggest them to some homeschoolers on a fundy site I post on. The charcoal briquette one should be interesting.
