American Atheists was the biggest atheist organization in the history of the United States. If anyone was heading to make atheism a majority state of belief, it was Madalyn Murray-O'Hair.

And then what happened? There was treachery from within, and the group lost all its order. Since then, there hasn't been an atheist group as influential as American Atheists.

Could it be that the reason is intervention by the gods? The gods don't always mind an atheistic minority (I can even think of reasons it's desirable), but a world where atheists are a majority has to be stopped. Probably one of the gods, most likely Jehovah or Saturn, caused the collapse of American Atheists. Then all the gods made sure that no new atheist group gained the same degree of power.

But, the bad guys didn't get the Krugerrands. They were put in a storage locker by the killers, which was then robbed by street hoods who spent the money on wine, women and song (well mostly drugs and prostitutes anyway), and it was soon all gone.

Actually it was a "set-up" a "double-cross" by
well...a divine being that will remain nameless.
The game gets rather complicated at times...you need a program to identify the players.
They want you to think that the gods got pissed
and lowered the boom......but we know what really happened.....
