Question biblical references to shellfish?

Could anybody point me to any references in the bible relating to the eating(or prohibition of, as I think the case may be) of shellfish?

I seem to recall reading about something along those lines some time ago, but I tried searching here, using various keywords in different versions, and can't find anything.

I'm just curious, as I've recently found out that Tasmanian Aborigines suddenly stopped eating scalefish around 3500-4000 years ago, but continued eating shellfish. I have no idea how thes two things could possibly have any relation, but anyway...

Besides my curiosity, I'd like to point it out to my SDA aunt- she loves scallops.

There is no direct reference to shellfish in the bible, but in Levicitus 11, and Deuteronomy 14, there are commandments on eating only "fish with fins and scales", which would exclude shellfish as accepted food.

Thanks philechat, that sounds familiar. I'd say that was what I was thinking of.
