As long as you attempt to relate what happens in the physical world to the spiritual world, GeoTheo, you will be beset by conflicts. And you will be stuck in the trap of attempting to establish proofs and evidence for what you believe despite the fact that proofs and evidence are the two things which eliminate belief.
90 or perhaps 99 per cent of the Bible is allegory. The stories give your god a physical existence because it was appropriate at the time they were written.
Your god, howeber, has no physical attributes; it is purely spiritual. Focus on that, and the revelations of science will never trouble you again.

GeoTheo - your powers of deductive reasoning only confirm the presence of a bell curve.

This was not really a well thought out post. I guess you leave yourself open to ridicule when you are open with people and unsure of yourself.
I will say though, that one of the reasons I am an evolutionist was the over all positive tone here and intelligent discussion.

Yikes!
One one hand, I can see the upside of this (for me)

no having to get up in the middle of the night, no crying, no vomiting, etc etc for another YEAR!

On the downside, the complaints, recriminiations, attempted murders, sleeping on the couch, etc etc for another year.
