It is a common belief amongst christians that god is perfect. I question this. I assume that god wants something from us. I can't really think of any other reason for him having created us. So how are we to give this thing to god if we question his existence? It seems to me that god almost encourages us to sin just so that he can judge us. God doesn't want us to kill, yet he gives us the killer instict and anger and hate, god doesn't want us to steal, yet he gives us covetnous (is that the right word?). He always works through prophets and burning bushes and that sort of shit, and expects us to blindly accept what an imperfect man tells us. He gives us doubt, and skepticism and he never appears before us, yet we are supposed to unquestioningly accept his existence. God gives us the will, the means and quite frankly the reasons to sin, but he doesn't want us to. And he goes to extreme lengths to punish those who go against him. If god wants us to choose him, then he shouldn't make it so fucking hard to choose him. I think that IF god exists the way the christians say he does, then he is anything but perfect.

I don't think god is stupid; god is malicious, selfish, and cruel. Given the nature of the universe, it makes more sense to me that god is an evil sort who allows some good to fool us rather than a good sort who allows some evil to test us.
