Post The banality of eternal salvation.

Just a quick post.

I find it interesting how so many catholics have been shaken up by this manufactured abuse scandal. Many Catholics are asking,

"Can we trust the Church to correct the problem?"

Wait a minute buster. You are telling me that you trust your eternal soul, not to mention those of your children, to the chuch, but you won't trust the church with your children's bodies?

I just don't get it. Why should you trust it about the ultimate questions - despite all the proof that it cannot be - but not trust it with most ubiquitous problems of human weakness?
