From the NIV:
Quote:
Genesis 6:15
This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. [ Hebrew 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high (about 140 meters long, 23 meters wide and 13.5 meters high)]
To relate this to something I've seen, a standard laker on the St. Lawrence Seaway is (from http://www.canadainfolink.ca/glks.htm):
Quote:
Vessel maximum:
225.5 m (740 ft.) length;
23.7 m (78 ft.) beam;
8.0 m (26 ft., 3 in.) draft;
35.5 m (116.5 ft.) height above water.
It would fit an impressive zoo, but "everything living animal?" naahh.

What if they were genetic samples and Noah had a deal running with the Atlanteans to clone all the animals?

Cuz everybody knows the Atlanteans were far more advanced with their golden pyramids and laser beams etc.

Let's see.
There are 9 cats (no names, just fed) who show up here on a regular basis for food and in cold weather to take over the cat shelter.
One official dog who runs the house. Pampered spoiled brat for whom I would give my life.
Six dogs who inhabit a small log cabin. They get fed and go to the vet if necessary.
Numerous wild birds. There's a definite chatter in the air as they wait in the trees and shrubs for me to fill up the birdseed and peanut butter feeders. Then it's dive-bombing time.
18 tropical fish.
Last count of squirrels who love their bananas and nuts was 12.

I was deeply impressed by Noah's story at a young age.

Default About the fish

The saltwater fish could have made it on their own, but not the freshwater fish. All of the freshwater fish had to be rounded up and put in tanks.

I don't know? I think even the saltwater fish would have to be in tanks. Some of the finickiest fish to keep alive, even in a tank, are saltwater tropical fish. And how would all the corrals stay alive with all that water over top of them?
