So how could it possibly float stuffed full with animals?

Well... dead animals float... perhaps once enough water leaked in there were enough bloated carcasses to keep it going till it ran aground... er... sorry, landed on a mountain...

They got all the animals to breath in deeply with each animal from eachpair breathing alternative to the other so there is always enough air to create ballast.

Yeah... I was thinking that with all those birds flapping their wings furiously like that, how the fuck did the thing not take off?

John Jakes once did a calculation showing that 1100 tonnes metric of animal feces would be produced each day. Can you imagine the amount of methane that would produce? Let abee the methane from the ruminants. Nobody would dare light a fire in that box. It would have blown sky high!
