Yes you have that tool. How did you do that? I wish I could search with that tool. I am just manually going through the text. Could you tell me where you found that?

On the 'introduced in' question I would argue that this is how Eusebius used the terminology:

Quote:
But this Melchizedec is introduced in the Holy Scriptures as a priest of the most high God

οὗτος δὲ εἰσάγεται ἐν τοῖς ἱεροῖς λόγοις ὁ Μελχισεδὲκ ἱερεὺς τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ὑψίστου [Church History 1.3.17]
I cannot find any other examples but then again I don't have that tool you seem to possess. That would save me a lot of time. Please, please, please tell me how you did that search! I can't even figure out how to search to text on a page using Firefox.

Quote:
Jesus is shown from the fisrt to be one who is destined to give his life as a ransom.
But I think the use of εἰσάγεται ἐν might be stronger. Consider the example of Melchizedek. He is literally 'introduced in' scripture as the priest of the most High God:

Quote:
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram, saying,

“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth.
20 And praise be to God Most High,
who delivered your enemies into your hand.”

Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

What the heck is the TLG? Ignore my nasty comments at the other thread (at least until you explain this to me )

Okay, but how does this disprove what I am saying? Eusebius and Clement are using the terminology in the same way. At the very least it is a possible interpretation of Clement's usage. <snip> I really think this is an important discussion. I don't know why ego has to get in the way. BTW can you explain where this TLG is?

<snip> Your trying to argue that Clement and Eusebius can't be seen as using the terminology in the same way? <snip> ... I can learn stuff I didnt' know like the TLG. <snip>
