Default A Bible Riddle

Before the heavens, I was
Before the earth, I was
Before the oceans, I was
Before the mountains, I was
Because of me, kings rule
Because of me, judges judge
I'm better than anything you could desire.
If you look for me early, you'll find me.
If you find me, you find life.
God, I'm not
Who might I be?

The answer is found in (at least) one chapter in the OT.

It helps that I've just recently read a book covering the "Wisdom" books of the Bible and the extrabiblical "Wisdom" literature.

A second guess would be Christ the Logos. As is implied in the prologue in GJohn.

No, I meant Sophia. The fact that some later fused Jesus' mother and the "Sophia" of old to create the RC "Mary" does not change that. A rose is a rose...

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. So Mary would, if she were not Mary called, retain that dear perfection which she owes without that title...
