Default HJ Busted--Jesus was a King of the Jews.

In "Did Jesus Exist?" by Ehrman , page1, it is claimed that Jesus was a "scarcely known, itinerant preacher".

And, the same Ehrman uses gMark as an historical source in the very same book "Did Jesus Exist?" at the 3rd chapter.

Well, there was a SIGN placed at the cross of Jesus if gMark is history.

THE KING OF THE JEWS

Sinaiticus gMark
Quote:
26 And the superscription of his accusation written on him was, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Ehrman has been BUSTED.

The Jesus of gMark was NOT a "scarcely known itinerant preacher" if gMark is considered as an historical source.

I thought it was pretty clear that the soldiers were being sarcastic.

aa5874 - It's just a story. It never happened. There's nothing to bust.

If the sign included a Hebrew inscription it could have also poetically referenced the crucified one as "king judas." Notice the name Jesus is not here. Strange that attention would be drawn to an anonymous king

Tell that to Ehrman and the HJers. They don't know and are spouting their ABSURD claim that Jesus was a scarcely known itinerant preacher.

Please, please, please, this is a serious matter. People are selling books and teaching in colleges that Jesus was scarcely known when THE VERY SOURCES they use state that there was a SIGN saying JESUS KING OF THE JEWS.

Please, help STOP the Propaganda.

In the Gospels, and if they are history, JESUS was THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Ehrman don't seem to know what he is talking about and he is writing books and teaching.

Or...the people who put up the sign were MOCKING him, just like it SAYS they were.

I would think you would be familiar with mockery by now.

People with Asperger's syndrome sometimes cannot pick up mockery.

Please read gMark before you make unsubstantiated claims if you want to appear credible.

You ought to know that in gMark during the trial under Pilate Jesus was asked if he was the KING of the Jews and he NEVER did deny it.

Sinaiticus gMark 15.2
Quote:
And Pilate asked him: Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered and said to him: Thou sayest.
If gMark is history as Ehrman proposes then Jesus was NOT a scarcely known itinerant preacher.

Ehrman has been BUSTED.

I will EXPOSE Ehrman and BUST him with his logical fallacies.

Ehrman doesn't think that the gospels are accurate history. You can't bust him for something he never claimed.

Please stop this nonsense. We have better uses for our time.
