Default Christian Opposition to Infanticide

From that particular essay of his, that was his concluding statement. In the essay, he presented many examples of ancient infanticide that were actually quite enlightening at least for myself. However, I pose the historicity of his conclusion to be debatable to you, community. Is his conlcusion actually valid?
