Default What does the Bible say that God's agendas are?

I look forward to reading comments from readers.

Obviously to create things that independently on their own free will want to worship His awesomeness -- and if they don't? that's fun too, He plans to eat popcorn and watch us all burn. I think the bible implicitly says this somewhere... or maybe people wrote the bible as a sick self-degrading, reality-denying mechanism to control via fear and hope.

Here's an interesting question, in all seriousness:

What was the agenda of the Bible? Imagine God was not writing it, but people. What was their intention? Did it succeed?

What if it was a moral mission to mankind, for instance -- what would YOU do to change people for the better during that time? Would there have been any other way to get into their heads? It's almost like psychological warfare, and I don't think it was supposed to be so gruesome. Perhaps it's meant to raise the awareness of mankind -- but remains a failed, outdated effort.

God's agenda (humor)

If one puts oneself into the mind of a Bible believer, the Bible does not actually seem to present God's agenda, or God's will. That seems to be derived from experience:

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
