Then why do you bother? Isn't that tantamount to trolling, going into a thread you have no interest in and posting for the sake of posting, and then saying people should discuss what you want? Quit complaining and start a new thread, and if people don't participate, then they don't care to discuss it. Perhaps another venue would be more appropriate, if you hadn't been banned from all the major ones.

Leaving aside the question of whether what's been going on here on a thread about Charles' "beef" with SBL and whether it has any validityis "squabbling", let alone of the petty sort", I think it's pretty safe to say that few here have little interest in hearing that you have little interest in the exchange.

I find it quite ironical that "Sanitary Man" would post such an odious comment, when Spin is merely trying to bring this thread back to the interesting issues it ought to be about, and when the combined remarks of Sanitary and Gibson have apparently been aimed at distracting attention from those issues all along. What evidence does "Sanitary" have that Spin has been banned from any site? And how is that even relevant? Is he referring to a "sanitizing" of sites owned and moderated by Jeffrey Gibson? Do such sites even count as bona fide, free and open discussion sites, with all the censorship that apparently goes on in them?

So ... you'd like to know about purported personal communication I've had with someone mentioned on this list, would you? Hmm. I seem to recall that when I asked you if you'd let us know if you had been in private/off list communication with Norman Golb, you told me that that was an off limits question.

But I'm happy to tell you if I've ever banned Spin from any list I own and moderate if you first answer mine about whether you've ever been in touch with, and had communications/messages of any kind from, Norman Golb.

BTW, how can stating a "fact" about a person be an ad hominem, let alone a vicious one? And if such it is, may I note that your messages, chock full as they are with all sorts of accusations of (the Golbian charge of) "mendacity" on the part of others, show how much you work from a double standard when it comes to saying what people should and should not do on this list.
