Question A bit of assistance requested

While I have read many things about biblical errancy and such, i am still far from skilled at debating and presenting a convincing argument. I have been debating with some friends of mine about this issue, and Im far from conceding defeat, however I dont believe I am currently able to properly put forward my case. This is where I appeal to anyone who is willing to help me.
The place is here. I dont want some "raid" or "takeover" by no means, just a person or two who can help me present my case. Thank you.

Instead of pointing everyone to the ENTIRE website, why don't you pick a topic or a thread in question?

I posted something there. For starts, you're taking on too much. Try to restrict your debate to a single topic.

Understood, that has always been a problem of mine. But, could you be a bit more specific?

Hi nygreenguy,

I've been a haunter to these forums for a long time, I don't have anything to add to scriptural issues, but I find them fascinating. So this may be my first post on the forum.

You did not do a bad job actually, I have not read all the pages, I might skip to the end later to see if the verbal Calvary arrived, but frankly the god-crew seem like a bunch of nuts. Guns and God, just like Jesus intended.

Anyway...Although it might not help you immediately, beside taking in all the arguments presented on the archived posts, there is a tactic that you need to utilize. The religious are restricted to magic thinking, the same primeval needs that motivated the "need" to create mythology in the first place. You are not, and you need to remind them that their way of thinking is a step above believing in Santa Claus. No matter what they do in "real life" as christians they rely on fantasy when talking about their beliefs.

Atheists will never have the smug satisfaction of knowing that non-atheists are going to hell, so we have to relax and not let their ignorance masked in "spirituality" make us sputter and bend just because we know the truth.

They will always try to twist science and humanist ideas to fit their magic thinking, there really is no way to argue against it. People start these long flights into fantasy because they can not deal with life as it is - there is no way to connect to them with "reason". At least in most cases.

It's always best to take the extraordinary claims need extraordinary proof stance. Make them come to you.

Other wise you get what you've already had to argue, all those Christians can just make up their own "interpretation" to gloss over any problems. Unfortunitly we can not be so creative, so we are automatically restricted to the mundane.

Ok, here is some evidence that the Bible is not inerrant:

Farrell Till

Despite the editing process by which the canonical books were selected, the biblical text is still fraught with inconsistencies that make Mr. Miller's claim of "unequaled internal harmony" a myth that is believed only by gullible bibliolaters who haven't bothered to investigate the claim. As noted in an earlier article ("A Perfect Work of Harmony?" TSR, Spring 1990, p. 12), whoever wrote 2 Kings 10:30 obviously believed that Jehu's massacre of the Israelite royal family was the will of Yahweh, but the prophet Hosea just as obviously disagreed and pronounced a curse upon the house of Jehu to avenge the "blood of Jezreel" that Jehu shed in the massacre (Hosea 1:4). Apparently, the "inspired" prophets and biblical writers had their theological and political differences as much as modern-day religious leaders.

Johnny: And of course, there is the patently false claim that God is not willing that any should perish, reference 2 Peter 3:9.
