Either that, or Mammy and Pappy Mews had a slightly cruel sense of humour, like my mother's friends Mr and Mrs Button - and their daughter Pearl

Parents?
Don't talk to me about parents!
Shirley Knott
with Sister Wyoming and brother Boris

It would almost warrant having children just to hear them talk about Granny Knott...

Well, I either have to confess to being such a pinhead that I didn't catch the (in hindsight rather obvious) homophone.

Or just doff my ten-gallon hat for the amuseing explanation.

Ooh, good point. We know from Genesis 4 that there was plenty of such technology around:

17
Cain had relations with his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. Cain also became the founder of a city, which he named after his son Enoch.
18
To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad became the father of Mehujael; Mehujael became the father of Methusael, and Methusael became the father of Lamech.
19
Lamech took two wives; the name of the first was Adah, and the name of the second Zillah.
20
Adah gave birth to Jabal, the ancestor of all who dwell in tents and keep cattle.
21
His brother's name was Jubal; he was the ancestor of all who play the lyre and the pipe.
22
Zillah, on her part, gave birth to Tubalcain, the ancestor of all who forge instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

So at the very least we have to have tents, musical instruments, and metallurgy, no? Why no bronze and ironwork mixed in with the trilobites and velociraptors?

Plus we have to work out how these guys could be the ancestor of all those who do (such-and-such) when all their descendants were wiped out in the Fludde.

I'm going to go with the assumption that the Great Pyramid was actually a mystic cosmic cloning facility in which the gene-lines of Tubal-Cain, Jabal and Jubal were stored (possibly using holographic technology) until after the Flood, after which the robot servitors (which are clearly illustrated in heiroglyphics and which we misinterpret as being the Gods Horus, Isis and Osiris) activated the cloning vats and created enough Cainite descendants to repopulate the earth. I have excellent corroboration for this, as Greek legends hold that Hephaestus built mechanical automota to help him in his forge, and since Hephaestus is clearly actually equivalent to the Biblical Tubal-Cain, the literary evidence is unimpeachable.

Aaahhhhh, that felt good. Was it good for you?
