Default Did Jesus use jokes and sarcasm?

Ann Coulter compares herself to Jesus

Ann Coulter addressed the Young Republicans at Xavier College, with her usual attacks.
Quote:
After her talk she was asked how she could justify her attacks as Christian? She answered that Jesus also used sarcasm and jokes to get his message across.
Paul used sarcasm, and I think there are some jokes in the Hebrew Scriptures, but I can't recall any jokes or sarcasm from Jesus. Have I missed something?

Jesus was renowned for his knock-knock jokes. (Like I'd know.)

He liked bad puns. For example, he followed up the parable of the Sower in Mark 4 with "Listen if you have ears to hear" (Ears, as in ears of wheat - geddit?).

Of course, we all realise Jesus spoke English.

Surely you jest.

What could be more of a knee-slapper than camels through needles' eyes, white-washed sepulchres, or helpful Samaritans?

Seriously, those are examples of what some think are Jesus' humorous illustrations that would have had his audiences laughing back in the 1st century.

His letter perhaps?

The answer of Jesus
to the ruler Abgarus
by the courier Ananias.

"Blessed art thou who hast believed in me
without having seen me.
For it is written concerning me,
that they who have seen me
will not believe in me,
and that they who have not seen me
will believe and be saved.

But in regard to what thou hast written me,
that I should come to thee,
it is necessary for me to fulfill all things here
for which I have been sent, and
after I have fulfilled them thus
to be taken up again to him that sent me.

But after I have been taken up I will send
to thee one of my disciples,
that he may heal thy disease
and give life to thee and thine."

That's weird. Jesus F. Christ appears to have been "liberal".

Yes, Jesus used humour and sarcasm to communicate.

He also used break-dancing, sky planes and threats of eternal roasting in the company of demons fond of the sodomy.

I always thought naming his Number One "Rock" and then saying you can't grow seeds on rocky ground to be pretty cute.

Non-Existant-Being Forbid I should bolster Ann C-word's case!
