PARAKLETOS OR PERIKLYTOS?


And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. (John 14:16)

muslim line of holds that original aramic NT had the word Periclytoswhich was later corrupted and changed to Parakletos.they also say that arabic ahmad is the translation of the word Periclytos. so they claim that the above verse in its pure form contained perclytos and is a prophecy of mohammed.


Now i want to ask that if we have any evidence (any manuscript etc) which hint that new testament had the word periclytos in John 14:16 instead of Parakletos .do we have any evidence to doubt that the original new testament didn't have the word Parakletos in John 14:16.
