I was wondering if you would agree on my hypothesis in thinking that one of the reasons Hitler (Adolph Hitler) got the entire German nation to follow him is because he made them feel SPECIAL. He wanted the Jews out so he could get the german people's job's back. He also wanted power. So, he told the German's that they were special and 1337 because they were German, and the "Blond Hair and Blue Eyes" were even more elite. So, he told them that they were awesome, and that the jews were sub-human. They liked Hitler cause he made them feel awesome. So, they naturally did what he said in discriminating the Jews, which solved his German job loss problem....and eliminating the Jews. Then, Himmler came along...etc.

Hitler did not exactly persuade the Germans that they were superior as much as he used their existing feelings of racial superiority for his own ends. The Jews were collateral damage, since he identified them (and other non-Aryans) as racially impure. He was aided in this by several millenia of Christian anti-Semitism. Discriminating against the Jews did not solve Germany's economic problems, and created some. There was no need to "controll" the Jews.

You've got it the other way around. The controlling the Jews thing was just a way to sneak in a "you are elite" message, which is a necessary component of getting people to accept propaganda.

In North Korea, they're propaganda uses similar tactics. The propaganda machine tells them that they live in the best country in the world and that all other nations are "just jealous" of them. But ultimately the "you are elite" message is just to get people to listen in the first place so they can push a bunch of other propaganda crap down people's throats.

Soviet propaganda used the same "you are elite" nonsense on Soviet citizens. Soviets were told that their way of life was so superior that it was their moral duty to spread their superior way of life to other countries. Again, the "you are special" thing was just the hook to reel people in and make them more suceptible to the other messages. "You are great! You are sooooo great! You are so great and anyone who says otherwise hates Mother Russia and should be reported to the authorities for 'disloyalty' immediately!"

To anyone who's been paying attention, FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, et. al. use pretty much the same tactics for pretty much the same reasons. "America is the greatest land on Earth! Anyone who says otherwise is a bad, horrible person who hates America! By the way, unions and social security are bad for you."
