Default Has Roger Pearse Uncovered the Real Origin of the Marcionite Sect?

http://papyri.info/ddbdp/rom.mil.rec;1;117

In his most recent post at his blog Roger draws our attention to a military calendar found at Dura Europa. In that text I believe we see Commodus's Christian concubine Marcia referenced as Marcianae. She receives divine honors and I would assume those priests managing her cultus would be the Marciani (Latin is not my strong suit). It has long been noted that there are strong parallels between the story of Marcellina the Carpocratian coming to Rome and Marcion's. Jerome identifies her as the first Marcionite. Marcellina is another feminine form of Marcus.

I forgot to mention the specific form Marciani for the sect is attested in the Muratorian canon and many other early sources

You are entitled to your BELIEFS but have you ever examined the evidence by which the illuminati of Believing Biblical Scholars, fresh out of Theology College, conjecture that Commodus was Romantically linked to the great nation of Christians?

Cite the EVIDENCE please ...

Jerome, whom Pontifex Maximus Pope Damasus of Rome took under his large dark wing towards the end of the 4th century, was not averse to fabricating stories, and adding novel historical claims to those of Eusebius.
