Default New Testament Studies Journal - Help!

I am desperately looking for the following article:
Oster, Richard E. Supposed Anachronism in Luke-Acts’ Use of SUNAGWGH: A Rejoinder to H. C. Kee. New Testament Studies 39 (1993) 178-208.

What happened to New Testament Studies journal?
Could JSTOR be having the article?

JSTOR does not carry New Testament Studies, nor could I find it at my library. Sorry.

OhioLink (http://journals.ohiolink.edu) carries it, but only as far back as 1999.

You can get it by going to your local public library and filling out an InterLibrary Loan request. It usually takes a week to 10 days to arrive, but if the item is short and Xeroxable, the lending institution will send a Xerox copy.

Of course that depends upon where one lives and the member libraries of ones particular association. For instance in the Northeastern Ohio area, Universities (where many of the good books are) are not members of the InterLibrary loan group. Most member libraries in my area are composed of small libraries which have little more than the library in our town of 5000. About 90% of the books mentioned on this forum cannot be obtained by our InterLibrary loan association. And our library does not loan out magazines, so the InterLibrary loan follows the rules for our library when lending to its patrons.

Now in Central Florida, it was a different matter. Most universities in the state (and I think a few out of state) were part of that InterLibrary Loan association.

But like you said, it is worth a try.

Leaving aside the question of whether this language is appropriate or does not deserve censure, have you thought of contacting Oster directly?

He can be reached at roster@hugsr.edu

Thanks Jeff. Sorry you have no stomach for swearwords. This is IIDB.

Not to be overly persnickety, but (as you've been told before) it's Jeffrey.

It's not a matter of what I have a stomach for (I can reel crudities off with the best of them). Rather, it's whether swearwords are an appropriate element of the discourse that is supposed to be carried out here. Are you actually saying that it is? And if so, are you also saying that you have no self restraint?

Hi Jeffrey, you are a newcomer to this forum and have not yet learned its standards. This is a mixed forum that contains both serious discourse, semi-scholarly discussion, relevant humor, and some casual conversation such as this thread, in which casual swear words (directed at the fates and not at another poster) might be expected and tolerated.
