Default The Ten Plagues of Egypt = Ten Egyptian Gods?

Is there a debunking of this? I can not find one for the life of me.

Thanks for any help. Links to previous threads (which I also could not find) are welcome.

Looks like I beat Mr. Linkfinder by 2 minutes.

FYI, Tacita, these lead to the same thread even though Toto's is fancier.

Only because I spent five minutes cleaning up the old uBB formatting so you could actually read it.

Anyhow, there's a comment on this Chick tract here:

Quote:
In addition to critiquing secular education, Chick also uses It’s the Law to illustrate his interpretation of excerpts from the Old Testament. Take for example the theory that God caused the 10 plagues in order to discredit the gods of ancient Egypt. Chick stretches the truth to support this biblical interpretation, calling Amun-re "god of the first-born," and ignoring any Egyptian gods without a matching plague.
