Default Ancient Texts You'd Like to See Recovered

Let me start off the list:

Biblical Works
1. Complete works of Origen, though if I had to keep it to one it would be his entire Matthew commentary
2. The Egerton Gospel complete
3. Aristides Apology
4. Complete Marcionite Luke
5. Matthew's Logia of Jesus (the one mentioned by Papias)

Miscellaneous Texts
1. The Complete works of Tacitus
2. Yue Jing
3. Complete works of Zeno or Cleanthes or Chrysippus

What would you like to see recovered?

I'd like to see all the *extant* material on the web in English. I fear a lot of it has never been translated.

2. The Egerton Gospel complete
Perhaps; I'd rather have the Gospel according to the Hebrews, tho.

3. Aristides Apology
We have this, in Greek and Syriac.

4. Complete Marcionite Luke
Can be pretty much reconstructed from Tertullian, Adversus Marcionem IV.

5. Matthew's Logia of Jesus (the one mentioned by Papias)
Agreed.

Miscellaneous Texts
1. The Complete works of Tacitus
Agreed. Plus a complete Livy, and the lost collections of Cicero's letters. And Caesar's Anti-Cato.

2. Yue Jing
Never heard of him, I'm afraid.

3. Complete works of Zeno or Cleanthes or Chrysippus
I think the world has enough Greek philosophy, actually.

All the best,

Not that this quite counts here but:

The other 116 (!!!) plays of Sophocles.

Sappho's poetry (complete)

Heraclitus' Fragments (if they were in fact actually 'fragments'-- or at least if there were other fragments, I'd love to see them!)
