Default Judas, Thaddeus or Lebbeus

Hi,

I'm wondering what the typical apologetic answer is for the differing 12 apostles list in matthew, mark, luke...?

I've heard one solution that Judas surname was Thaddeus and that Lebbeus may have referred to the town he was from. This seems like a ridiculous stretch and does not address a re-interpretation that Matthew either lists a town in his list of apostles or only lists 11 apostles...

Thanks,

Jonathan

Quote:
. The slight discrepancy between the list in Mark/Matthew and the list in Luke/Acts is well-known, and the time-worn harmonization tells us that Judas the son of James is Thaddaeus.
