Tell me what you guys think. It seems like a fitting parallel. So my question is... did the authors of the bible intentionally write the bible to have this parallel?

This is only a 28 min. video clip. I have the full 2 hour VHS which has more details and someday I might upload it to the Internet but this will have to do for now.

Sorry, I don't have the time to watch a 28 minute video from a site entitled "The Voice of Evangelism."

From Prophesy Update on that site:

The name could allude to a major shaking of the earth, which occurred sometime after the flood. We know the tower of Babel was destroyed and the universal language of mankind was divided, thus forming the languages of the world (Genesis 11).

The recent disaster was caused by the shifting of two of the platelets, one that shifted above the other. This forced a huge amount of water to be pushed toward the coastal areas of nine nations, which are in the Pacific Rim. These nations are also a part of the famous 10-40 window, where over 95% of the population has never heard the Gospel of Christ!

When this shifting occurred, it created a 9.0 magnitude earthquake that was felt all the way into the Persian Gulf, where boats were tossed by the waves of water. It also created up to 30 feet high waves, which eventually made their way at 500 miles per hour onto the beach and coastal areas of these nine nations. Without warning, thousands of individuals, enjoying vacations and soaking in the sun, were overcome by the huge waves and were taken to an early grave under the dark murky waters.

Within hours of this disaster, one of the leading geologists from the United Nations stated that the entire earth shifted as a result of the earthquake and the Tsunami. This was a shocking statement, considering a prophecy Isaiah made concerning the coming Day of the Lord; the day God judges the earth during the time of tribulation:

"...For the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake." The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

"The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage." - Isaiah 24:18-20

While this event will occur during the future great tribulation, we have experienced a small preview of how this strange scripture could be fulfilled.

During our recent Main Event Conference in Dalton, Georgia, I shared with the audience how the four major hurricanes in Florida were a sign of the "Sea and the waves roaring." This unusual prophecy is located in Luke’s Gospel, in Luke

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." - Luke 21:25-26

Thousands are now dead as a result of huge waves striking the coastlines of nine nations! I believe this is a major sign of the time of the end, prior to the return of Christ!

Earthquakes happen. Weather happens. Life goes on. Jesus is not coming back.

Give me one reason to take this seriously. Give me one reason not to banish this thread to Elsewhere.

Wow. i should have just posted a direct link to the video. I posted the link I did so you could see the source of the video if you wanted. I'm not trying to promote any source of Christianity here. I have only been an agnostic for about a month now and leaving Chritianity is been a hard process for me and still is. This guy in the video used to be a guy that I followed quite a bit. I'm not here to show that this parallel in the video shows God's divine inspiration in the bible. I posted the video so you guys could help me understand that the parallel that this guy found is not God's inpiration but is the handy work of the bible's authors.

edit: i know earthquakes happen blah blah blah, i never said I agree with any of that.

you don't have the time to watch the video and that's fine but maybe some people do and it has valid points for discussion with quoted bible verses so please let the thread stand.

OK - but could you summarize Perry's argument - what is this "fitting parallel"?

You have to understand that all of this phrophecy nonsense is crap, and we've all seen a lot of it. You have to make a better case to induce most of the people here to invest half an hour of their time to check out some huckster evangelist's claims of parallels.

PS - sorry to come down so hard on you, but we have a lot of spammers who come here and post links to various bizarre cults and money making schemes, and we usually just delete them without giving them a chance.

And feel free to go to the Lounge and introduce yourself and tell your story. :wave:

Is this man a complete fool? Most of those affected are Muslims who have certainly heard of Jesus. And in Sri Lanka everyone has heard of Jesus, and ditto for India. Ditto for Thailand too.

Garbled. The entire earth shifted a minute amount....
