Post Ezekiel's Dry Bones

My uncle was in the first wave at D-Day. He fought all the way through to the outskirts of Berlin. On the way his company had the dubious "priviledge" of liberating a concentration camp. He saw piles upon piles of DRY BONES, left over from the murder of thousands of Jews. Across Europe soldiers encountered similar scenes. From those dry bones survivors began to emerge. Eventually they formed the nation of Israel. Which has the sixth largest army in the world and has never lost a war. Talk about literal fulfillment of prophecy! Just like the prophet Ezekiel said. Hmmmmmmmm.....

Regarding so-called Bible prophecy:
1.) Some of what is claimed by believers (both Jewish and Christian) to be Bible prophecy isn't really prophecy at all, at least not in the sense that it was intended as a prediction of future events.
2.) Some so-called Bible prophecy was written after the fact.
3.) Some Bible prophecy which is alleged to have been fulfilled, wasn't.
4.) Some so-called Bible prophecy which is allegedly "unfolding before our eyes" is so vague and imprecise that it has and always will be "unfolding before our eyes."

I suggest that you do some research on "the other side of the story," so to speak. You might start with PROPHECIES: IMAGINARY AND UNFULFILLED, by Farrell Till.

In the event that you are interested in discussing your claims, I have copied this topic from Feedback to the Biblical Criticism & Archaeology forum in order to facilitate discussion.

And the Prophet Isaiah said:

Isaiah 11:11-12

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that
the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the * remnant * of his people, [Gods Chosen People - the Jews] which
shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Path'ros, and from Cush, and from E'lam, and from Shi'nar, and from Ha'math,
and from the islands of the sea. And He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth."

Note: Remnant Of Israel

The 12 Tribes of Israel shall return to their Land.

It is my understanding that the 12 Tribes of Israel have returned. The Russian Jews continue to immigrate to Israel, presently.

God also told us exactly how He would do this:

Isaiah 49:22

" Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders."

Prophecy Fulfilled.

Through organizations such as International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and Operation Exodus, Gentiles from around the world have enabled the Jews to return to Israel. They have paid the fee (the air flights) in order that the Jews could immigrate to Israel.

But Yehezkel (Ezekiel) clearly talks of a supernatural event of bones forming skin and tendons ("qaram or v'gidim" in the original Hebrew), not of living survivors emerging from among the dead bones. The prophecy can be said to have been fulfilled only in a loose, superficial way.
