Post Whats in a Name?

I was wondering why Lucifer is used today
as a name for Satan.
"Lucifer" literally translated means
"Light Giver".
Jerome saw the term "heylel" meaning "morning star".
He used "Lucifer" the latin word for morning star, in the text.
The "morning star" was the son of the Dawn
Goddess Aurora, who precedes the dawn.

So, how did the term "lucifer" become one of the names of Satan?

lucifer is mentioned only once in all of the old testament. never in the new testament. it's fairly vague, and i think lucifer is described as a king who aspired to be like a god. the following link goes into some more detail:
