Good grief, how many Chiefs (moderators) does the SecWeb have? Four in this one little thread alone. Wow.

I must say that I am relieved. I thought you might me spread too thin to do anything but chide Nomad for once referring to an argument as stupid. Now I see that you also have time to chide him for asking why no one else gets chided for leveling what is seemingly more offense verbage.

Whew. I am relieved.

Care to repeat that, Nomad? The "sceptics" on these boards does not mean "most" or "some" or even "all but one." It means that, if you are a skeptic, you qualify. Period. No disingenuousness on my part, just a grasp of the English language. Try it sometime.

Unhappy

ok, I am not chiding anyone. I didn't mean to make it look like I were.

Personally, I would love to have a pretty little board where no one flames or insults anyone. That will not happen. The PTB here are too concerned with happiness and free speech.

Nomad, I believe that the way you expressed yourself to me was far harsher than it needed to be. I do not remember the thread I referenced, nor do I want to do a search. I will admit that the rebuke was a general rebuke of all participants--- I had thought you would realize that you counted in 'all participants'.

Here is a message to any and all Christians:

I thought I would remind you of how Christians (I am not pointing fingers at anyone) should act. I sometimes have a problem with this so it applies to me as much as anyone else. There are a bunch of verses, but what it basically boils down to is this: Be like Christ.

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
1 Peter 2:23

Ephesians 4:29
1 Corinthians 9:22
Psalms 40:15
1 Peter 4:14
2 Corinthians 12:9,10
Colossians 3:8
Peter 3:8-9
Romans 12:19-21

Caleb, welcome to the free for all. We all know that if Christians actually started to act like Christ, it would revolutionize the world. I'm not holding my breath.

Let me get this straight. Nomad asks a question to one moderator, he's on vacation, other moderators step in to assist, and you complain?

I see the reading problem is spreading. Just this week warnings were issued, and threads closed, and others edited. And those were written by atheists. I know you have trouble with things outside of the Mediterranean littoral in the first 150 years of the current era, but you might read some of the threads elsewhere in the Infidels forum.

Nomad:
Poor Michael. Still smarting over my making fun of you for calling Christians Satan Worshippers?

LOL!
A man who thinks that Christianity is a recent entry to India, and that the Bible is the basis of western law codes (yet another thread you fled from) isn't really in much of a position to do my psyche any harm.

I won't speak for Layman, but how exactly did jess assist here? Are you talking about her attack in which she accused me of lying because I failed to admit that I was chastised in some unknown thread that she refuses to look up?

Or maybe sentinel working himself into a holy lather because I pointed out that the sceptics here continue to hurl abuses far worse than anything I or any of the Christians has ever done?

BTW, are you going to answer my questions from my last post to you on this thread, or are you going to bail?

Umm... Michael? You didn't address Layman's points, and engaged instead in straightline ad hominem. I know that this is your personal standard for appropriate behaviour on these boards. What is it for the rest of us?

Hmm... this must be yet another standard being adopted by the sceptics here. First from jess, then from Earl, and now you.

Post the link to the thread. I get into a lot of them, and sometimes I forget about one or two Michael. If you said anything interesting on the thread you are talking about here, then I will reply. Better still, bring it back to the top of the discussion board so I don't have to go hunting for it.

BTW, who taught you that Christians worship Satan again? Did you learn that at the same place that never mentioned to you that Christians will one day judge the angels?

Nomad

P.S. If the sceptics think that I am too rough on them, they should read St. Jerome and St. Augustine. They weren't big on suffering fools gladly (or easily) either.

This is rough? LOL!

Layman and you claim double standard. Since the kibosh was put on several atheist posters for various reasons both before and after you whining here to avoid facing Rodahi, you and he both have no case.

As for Kim, Rodahi is doing a fine job. I'll defer to him.

Michael
