Hmm. Wonder how much space at Kadesh Barnea, a camp of 2 million Israelites plus their livestock would take up? Anyone run the math on that one? |

Well, Shesh. I recently saw a commentary that said that from end to end the camp was about 52 miles wide.

52.5 miles would be perfect. But if one is 26 miles away from Kadesh Barnea are they still at Kadesh Barnea?

I guess the location name was wherever Moses and Aaron were.
I thought you were going to ask how so many people fit into Jerusalem and the Temple area during the years of Solomon's reign for the festivals, or for that matter during the festivals at the sanctuaries of Shiloh, Nov and Givon [Nob and Gibeon]....... |

Man. Moses, Aaron, and the Priests at Kadesh Barnea had to take a 52 mile round trip hike to get outside of the camp every time they needed to take a dump? Must have made it tough getting God's daily barbecue prepared.

Odd that what would have been the world's most populous city left no artifacts to indicate it ever existed.
