I think I have someone's thesis somewhere that analyzes the tefillin of Qumran, with parchment verses that basically resemble the one's I use, while others are completely different.

Personally I try to avoid doing it on

Quote:

Saturdays (Shabbat)
Both days of Rosh HaShanah
Yom Kippur
The first and last two days of Sukkot
The first and last two days of Passover
Both days of Shavuot

And of course on Tisha B'av, only for Mincha.

but you guys must be much more religious than me.
