For this second pass through of Gospel Eyewitnesses not already listed in Early Aramaic Gospels, the Lucan selections from Special Luke shown bracketed likely were in Aramaic as well, but the Lucan passages from q2 (in regular type) were already in Greek. Ellipses represent filler material. The Marcan passages are from an Ur-Marcus already in Greek before it was taken into Mark or Luke. Similarly, the first 12 chapters here from John are from the Signs Source (by Andrew) already in Greek probably from the first. John 13 and thereafter here I attribute to the Apostle John himself. Certain uniquely Matthean sections are included where the content is paralleled in the Gospel of Thomas or even where the Jesus Seminar affirmed them as from Jesus.

Whereas in Early Aramaic Gospels the earlier (basically 17) chapters of John were from the Discourse Source (G and much of E) by Nicodemus and the remainder could be reserved to present the Passion Narrative (S and G) by John Mark, now in this second tier of eyewitnesses the first 12 chapters of John contain primarily Andrew’s Signs Source (S) which does not appears in John 13 or 21 at all. Therefore the narrative source in these later chapters has to be by default the E writer (ordinarily the Editor) whom I identify as John the Apostle.]

I now realize that all of Luke 24:1-11 should be recognized as from L, the special source in this case being the eyewitness account from the Joanna
named in verse 10. Note that ellipses around part of 24:6 denote words that are omitted in the Western text. Her version in Luke replaces the earlier Aramaic version from Mary Magdalene in John 20. The text below replaces Luke 24:11 in my Post #154.


Luke 24:
