There is not a single traditional Jewish text that suggests that the Israelites had anything to do with the construction of the pyramids. Another myth. In fact, some have argued that the pyramids existed prior to the time of the arrival of Jacob and his family, and even prior to the time of Abraham.

Who says I did.

Mirrors much of Dever, and I have read some of his work.

It would be interesting to see who Karen Armstrong uses, for her sources.

You also forgot this from your link above

I explain how I learned from A History of God by Karen Armstrong that the evidence indicates that the Jewish concept of monotheism evolved from the syncretism of various polytheistic sources like Canaanite and Babylonian polytheism.

Yes I do.

Dont get me wrong I like her.

But she is not qualified. In her wiki link, they claim her as a scholar and historian but it is not backed with credentials.

Great author and has quite the knowledge.

There are a number of interesting propositions

eg. The idea Akhenaten was the pioneer of a monotheistic religion that later became Judaism has been considered by various scholars

As well later Egyptian historians took the whole family off their kings list, they say that may be the reason Tut's treasure stayed intact.

I dont think it has any connection with Jewish monotheism at all.

schol-ar
noun
1. a learned or erudite person, especially one who has profound knowledge of a particular subject.
2. a student; pupil.
3. a student who has been awarded a scholarship.

:constern01:

I don't see the word "academia" or "university" in there. Huh.

Considering that Egypt ruled over Canaan for hundreds of years, it certainly seems worthy of investigation.

It would be except. Tut, his son, went right back to polytheism, and his whole era wiped from Egyptian history.

You'll find Redford who throws his hat in the ring for this, but he has been soundly refuted.

Sadly she is a British author and commentator.

If I wrote a book that gets published, would I be a scholar?
